how do i make my bedding softer?
ive recently purchased some new bedding due to a tight budget as this is my first home i bought 50% cotton 50% polyester duvet set.
now i have had bedding previously that is the same 50% cotton and 50% polyester and they are much softer than these ive washed them twice with fabric conditioner but not used them yet as they feel really stiff and rough to touch does anybody have any ideas to mabye make them more pleasant to sleep in im at the point im going to cut them up and use them to clean windows!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP
Sometimes saving in the wrong place can cost you more and I am afraid this is one of those places. Good percale sheets will last you 20 years, so in the end they cost less. If it is a poor polyester, you are going to feel it. Seems they are using recycled stuff and you can feel the difference lately. Only 10 to 15% is the max in polyester now. Just to keep the ironing down. Other than that they feel terrible.
